Adele Pays Tribute To George Michael At the 2017 Grammys

Oh my gosh I LOVE her!!

Adele paid tribute to George Micheal tonight at the Grammys with an absolutely chilling rendition of his song Fast Love.

Part way through she stopped and asked to restart it because it wasn’t perfect.

Which just makes her even  more perfect!

““I’m sorry for swearing and I’m sorry for starting again, but I can’t mess this up for him,” she told the audience. “I can’t do this again like last year”

Last year a few seconds into her Grammys performance the sound went out, but instead of stopping she powered on through, giving an amazing performance that everyone was talking about for ages.

At the end of her performance tonight Adele welled up in tears. She is just so real. As cameras panned the celebrity audience, everyone was right there with her.

Doesn’t she seem just so incredibly human? So many celebrities seem so otherworldly, so untouchable. Adele fells like she would be the best friend you ever had. I just love her. And tonight she showed us all it’s okay to not be perfect. It’s okay to screw up and own it.

And I have to say her hair and makeup were sensational! She is beautiful.

It’s very Kate Winslet-y don’t you think? Very pretty and she looks lovely, but I like my Adele Vogue covers to have a little more 
ba-boom to them. I love those images where she knocks you over with her incredible wow-factor. Such as the Vogue cover that Mert and Marcus shot in 2012.

The video had 27.7 million views in the first 24 hours, and in the first 5 days hit and surpassed 100 million views, making her Vevo platinum faster than any other artist. Ever.

I don’t think she has ever looked more beautiful. She has grown into her face exquisitely. And speaking of exquisite, her makeup in this video is just achingly beautiful. And perfect.

Adele is out there doing press for her new album, 25, which drops on November 20th. It is so refreshing to see how candid and real and ballsy she has remained despite the accolades and huge financial success, which rounds the interesting edges off of so many.
While most successful artists start to sound manufactured, she is her own person. I love it.
She also has perfected the balance of private life and public life, not feeling the need to be papped every 5 minutes, or keep up a big public profile. Which makes it exciting when she does have something to say.
