Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine Cover Shoot

This was such a fabulous shoot! We shot the June cover of Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine at the beautiful Wrigley Mansion in Scottsdale.

Victoria Canada of Victoria Canada Weddings and Events co ordinated the shoot and put it all together.
She brilliant!

The theme was a modern day twist on Marie Antoinette. If you check out the magazine you’ll see the photo-story was largely based around the incredible cakes and confections that inspired the “Sugar High” article.

Here is a little behind the scenes look at what went on

The amazing hair was built and designed by my partner in glam, hair guru Will Zecco. We get booked together an enormous amount. He is not only a complete genius, but is more fun than you can even imagine!!

Here’s me using Ellis Faas lips on our gorgeous model Daynalyn Wain.
I adored working with her.

Hollye Schumacher was the photographer. She’s fabulous. I love her.

Jeff Bills from Serendipity shot the behind the scenes videos. Shooting anything with Jeff is always crazy fun!

Here’s a little run down from me on the makeup products I used:

Product Shoot Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine

Last week I had the pleasure of shooting with Lilet and Glenn Hamp of Light Rain Images.

We were shooting products for a series of articles I’m writing

(hopefully finished writing by the time this post goes up!!)

for Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine.

I’ve never actually been on a product shoot before,

so it was fascinating!

Entirely different from shooting people.

We got loads of behind the scenes pictures,

so you can see how it all goes down.

Product placement, and then lighting it all

are quite crucial.

I so love my helmet, gloves lipstick T-shirt from Driver Boutique

Lilet has been shooting products for years, so has a great eye for positioning everything.

although it was early morning, the temperature was already in the low 100’s

so we had to work fast, before the makeup melted.

A series of reflectors and mirrors were used to work the light.

Jewelry Shoot In Tucson

So this week I was in Tucson on a jewelry shoot.

I took my flipcam and made you a little behind the scenes movie.
This time I used flipcam’s music in the background.
Be warned
It gets LOUD!
I couldn’t figure how to turn it down…

It was a fun day!
